Delete your account
This page lets you permanently delete your WordStudy account and all data we hold about you — without needing the app installed. Required by Apple App Store policy as of 2024.
⚠ This action is permanent
- All your imported words, progress, and collections will be deleted.
- Your subscription record will be cleared on our side (active store subscriptions must be cancelled separately — see Terms §4.3).
- This cannot be undone. We do not keep a recovery copy after the deletion grace period (7-day rolling backup, then permanent purge).

Check . Click the link in the email within 24 hours to finalise deletion. If you don't see it, check spam.
Changed your mind? Just don't click the link — the request expires in 24 hours.
Prefer to delete from inside the app?
- Open WordStudy
- Profile tab → Settings
- Scroll to the bottom → "Delete account"
- Confirm
Need to cancel a subscription instead?
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel separately:
- iOS: Settings → [Your name] → Subscriptions → WordStudy → Cancel
- Android: Google Play → Account → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → WordStudy → Cancel
