Your prompt

Copy it into a new chat. Every time you run it, you get a new exercise.

Add your words above to get a prompt.

AI makes mistakes too. Read the answer key before you give the exercise to anyone.

How it works

  1. Paste your words — from a lesson, a textbook unit or your own list. Add a meaning after a dash if a word has several.
  2. Choose the exercise, your level and your language. The prompt updates as you go.
  3. Copy the prompt or open it straight in ChatGPT, Claude or Grok. The AI writes a new exercise every time you run it.

16 types of exercises

From simple gap-fills for beginners to Cambridge-style word formation. Each one is built from tested instructions, not written from scratch.

For teachers

Choose “Worksheet for a class”: you get a printable sheet with a name and date line, versions A and B if you want them, and the answer key at the very end so you can cut it off before printing. Instructions can be in English or in your students' language.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. This page only builds the prompt. You run it in your own AI chat — ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or another — and no sign-up is needed here.

Which AI should I use?

Any modern AI chat works. We tested every type of exercise in several models: the stronger the model, the fewer mistakes. Whatever you use, read the answer key before you give the exercise to anyone.

My word has several meanings. How do I choose one?

Write the meaning you need after the word with a dash, in your language — for example “bank — river bank”. The AI will use the word only in that meaning.

Will the rest of the text be too difficult?

The prompt asks the AI to write everything except your words at the level you choose, from A1 to C2. Your own words can be harder — that is the point of the exercise.

Can I use the exercises with a class?

Yes. “Worksheet for a class” gives you a printable sheet, optional versions A and B for different students, and the answer key at the end.

Want these words to stick?

In WordStudy you add your words in a tap and practise them in short exercises and games — with translations into your language.
