Mia's First Train Trip

Mia is twelve. It is the summer vacation, and she wants to visit her grandmother. Her grandmother lives in a small town by the sea.

Mia and her mother go to the station and buy a train ticket. "Have a good trip!" her mother says. Mia gets on the train and sits by the window.

The train is fast. Mia sees fields and a big river. She finds the river on her map.

After three hours, the train stops. Her grandmother is at the station. They do not take a taxi or a bus. They walk to the house.

In the evening, they go to the beach. There is a big white hotel next to it, and people swim there. Mia sees the sea for the first time. It is blue and beautiful.

"I love to travel," Mia says. Even a short trip can make a big day.
